Dynamic Apprenticeship Program
Are you interested in developing your leadership skills? Wanting to build on and
learn the skills needed to be a colorguard instructor and leader? We are looking
to build the best teams for today and tomorrow and you could be a part of it
all! Dynamic Winteguard is proud to offer an apprenticeship program to work
with the youth and current active members within the organization, to teach
them the skills they need to archive their future goals.
Role Description:
• Develop skills in instruction and delivery of Colorguard material
• Support the current instructional team
• Be leaders within the Dynamic membership
Responsibilities as an Apprentice:
• Collaboration with the instructional team. Working one on one with
coordinator for weekly meetings, developing goals for the group and be
receptive of feedback provided.
• Using assigned goals given to inform your instructional lessons
• Continuous reflection on instruction and goal development
• Relationship and trust building within the organization
• Communication of lesson plans as identified between yourself and the
Colorguard Coordinator.
• Develop and apply Problem solving abilities
• Prepare workshops to teach to the membership to enhance their skill
building and develop their skills.
Responsibilities as a Member:
• Leading by example while participating as a member. Building respect
amongst peers
• Cheerleading and encouraging excellence within the membership
You are a member first and apprentice second – The first priority is being a
member first. Developing your teaching skills is your second priority.
Application Process:
• Please submit a letter of intention of how this program would be beneficial
to your learning.
• Please include a video of a short basics exercise you have designed. The
equipment is of your choosing. In writing indicate briefly what the purpose
of the exercise is, and how you feel it would benefit a colorguard
program.
